WHO'S ELIGIBLE?

Do you want to see if your nonprofit is qualified for a shot at one of 10 grants worth $10,000? We have three very simple criteria:

First, does your organization’s primary mission meet one of the Deluxe Foundation’s grant focus areas?

Second, is your nonprofit’s annual revenue a gross of $3 million or less?

Third, is your organization a 501(c)(3)?

If you answered yes to all of those questions, your nonprofit is eligible.

What is the Short + Tweet nomination deadline?

October 21, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Are Short + Tweet grants focused on specific communities?

The Short + Tweet program is open to qualifying nonprofits from all U.S. communities.

How do I nominate a nonprofit that I support?

You can tweet an application for that nonprofit by saying why it deserves a grant and using the hashtag #DeluxeCares. If the organization has a Twitter handle, use it in the application (for example, @nonprofitorganization). If the organization does not have a Twitter handle, we will send you the link to apply and you should email it to a contact at the organization. See more details above.

How will you keep track of the entries?

We will track all of the entries with the #DeluxeCares hashtag on Twitter. We will respond to each application with a link to this website’s Apply page, where applicants can enter their nonprofit’s Tax ID Number and other basic contact information.

What if I don’t submit the form with my nonprofit’s tax ID number and other details?

That information is required to complete your application. Without it, your application will not be considered for judging.

How will you judge the entries?

We will choose 10 winning nonprofit organizations based on the tweets that best explain why the organization deserves a grant. Applicants are welcome to approach this in different ways – for example, they may discuss the nonprofit’s mission, current work, future goals and plans, or impact on the population they serve. The only requirement is that the application be contained within a single tweet and that tweet must include the hashtag #DeluxeCares. We also will verify the nonprofit’s eligibility after the application (including Tax ID Number) is complete.

What if I don’t receive a response to my tweet?

We will respond to your tweet (with a URL where you’ll give further information) within 24 hours. If you do not receive a response, please post your tweet again.

Is this website secure?

Yes. This website uses SSL to ensure that your Tax ID Number and personal contact information is secure.

Who are the judges?

A panel of judges chosen by the Deluxe Corporation Foundation will determine the recipients of the grant competition.

When will the grant recipients be announced?

Recipients will be announced the week of Oct. 31 publicly on Twitter, and the grants will be distributed as soon as possible thereafter.

If I have technical difficulty in submitting my application, whom should I contact?
